Relay for Life 2004
Here are a few pics of the C.O.R.E. Group’s effort as a team in the American Cancer Society’s Annual Relay for Life- or the Race for a Cure. Pictures courtesy of John, KI4BWZ
The idea of fielding a team for the Relay for Life was raised by Mary, Hank, N3ORX’s XYL. It seemed completely appropriate, as cancer seems to be all too common, not only something that affects other people, but which has a direct effect on two members of the group. Howard, K2LAW, was identified as the person present who had been most recently diagnosed. The group sold small items to raise money for the event. Al, KA1FFO and Terry, N5HOT, set up a display on Amateur Radio for interested parties.
